This is one of the main reasons why the Tourism sector has been downfalling now. In Tourism sector interactions is one of the major factors. Even if new tourists visit this time, no one is ready to welcome them which has forced everybody around the world to change their mindset.

To prevent the spreading of the coronavirus government of most of the countries have implemented lockdown. Even the main tourist attracting countries have been badly affected are under lockdown. Main tourist-attracting nations like France, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, etc are all under lockdown due to the severe spreading of this virus. Such lockdowns don't allow people to travel anywhere. Therefore the new tourist rate is zero. This method has been a factor to affect the Tourism sector.

Banned international flight and locked borders

Those countries which are not under lockdown have also followed a preventive measure i.e. ban of international flights and locked borders. People are not allowed to enter the country through any source. This means the rate of tourists visiting in that country has drastically dropped. The tourism sector has been in crisis. Tourists are not allowed which means no foreign revenue. Even powerhouse countries like the USA, UK are forced to follow this system.

Economic crisis

Coronavirus is sure to bring the economic crisis in most of the countries. In such a case the government of most of the countries is expected to cut the holidays of employees in order to cope up with the economy. Therefore people will have very little free time. This means most of the people might not have time for a vacation. Also, most people's salaries and earnings are expected to reduce. Therefore people may not travel as they won't have money to travel. Also companies would not want to expand their branches outside to cope up with the loss of economy. These factors will reduce the number of tourists visiting the country.

Unemployment generated by virus

After the pandemic ends millions of people are expected t be unemployed. Already thousands of tourism companies employees are unemployed. Hotel, Restaurant, travel agent, flight agencies, guides, etc most of them are and will be unemployed. In such cases, bad services increases and the Tourism sector will face difficult times. Unemployed people don't travel due to a lack of money. Those who are employed have to choose better options than just sticking to one. This all shows that only a few people will freely travel even after the pandemic ends.

Fear of Corona Virus among people

People all over the world have feared the coronavirus. Even after the pandemic ends people might not be 100 percent sure to travel. According to sources, it will take at least five years to fully forget the impact created by the virus after the pandemic ends. Even if it will be declared over people will not believe and would not travel due to fear. Thus, fear also affects the Tourism sector.
